johnnychillout 0 Posted December 13, 2024 Author Posted December 13, 2024 Yes, I created a new playlist, scan the library and it deleted my playlist. How do we fix this? What’s strange is this started happening a a couple months ago, it was fine before that i removed the scripterx a month ago

Are the user created playlist m3u files in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\data\userplaylists folder empty?
Happy2Play 9780 Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 I guess another test would be can you create a new user and create a playlist and see if the same thing happens?
johnnychillout 0 Posted December 13, 2024 Author Posted December 13, 2024 yes, the folders are out there but the only file the only thing in the folders is the one m3u file
johnnychillout 0 Posted December 13, 2024 Author Posted December 13, 2024 and i created a new playlist using a different profile. ran the library scan, and playlists disappeared
johnnychillout 0 Posted December 13, 2024 Author Posted December 13, 2024 i deleted the scan media library scan trigger (it was running every 12 hours). not sure if that will fix it

Happy2Play 9780 Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Since you are on Windows I would spin up a portable install, change Emby ports, and create a test library and see if the same happens. I have not been able to create a playlist and have it just disappear or come back empty. But if Emby is actual doing this it should be in the server log. 1

Emby Server for Windows Note by default Emby always installs using the same ports so you will want to shutdown existing temporarily and launch new install and ensure to change ports on the network page. Then both can run simultaneously. I would just setup a test library but if you run both you don't want both writing metadata as you will put each in a scan loop as then both see and do updates.
Luke 42078 Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 @johnnychilloutwere you able to try this?
