flic 12 Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 dunno if it's caused by a change in epg on how the episodes are named. But, Emby records episodes that are already in an existing library (2nd green check) Exemple: in my existing library TVserie S10E08.mkv in epg: TVserie S10E08 Special Guest So, Emby does not match anymore the complete name of the episodes, so it schedules the recording of S10E08 I noticed that a few days or weeks ago Any solutions come to mind?
flic 12 Posted November 7, 2024 Author Posted November 7, 2024 Emby was skipping episodes already in my library before. Something changed recently causing to mismatch the episodes already in my library
Luke 42077 Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Hi there, let's look at a specific example: How to Report a Problem Thanks !
flic 12 Posted November 8, 2024 Author Posted November 8, 2024 I think I figured out the issue: Emby is getting confused if you try to record the same TV serie from 2 different channels
Carlo 4560 Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 Interesting. Was this the same channel from two different sources or two different channels in the same source tuner? If two different sources tuners, do they use the same EPG for mapping to the same channel? Was the series set to record two different times? If so by same person or 2 different people? Do you know if either job had manual selection of the channel to use? If you still have the recording jobs, you can edit/look. If you deleted one, it still might be helpful to look at the remain job if it still exists. Thanks, Carlo
