King_Col_Bundy 13 Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 I have a problem where all episodes of a certain show have two subtitle files - SRT and ASS. The SRT ones are all incorrect and the ASS is perfect (hehe). Is there any way for emby to prefer one type of subtitle over the other. Or, alternatively, are there any solutions to delete one type of subtitle en masse? For clarification, I am using Synology DSM for Emby.
Luke 42079 Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 HI, if the SRT is incorrect then why not delete it?

pwhodges 2012 Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 I'd just set all the ASS tracks to be default, and the SRT ones to not be. This can be done in bulk very quickly using jmkvpropedit (I presume the files are MKV, as that would be usual when containing ASS subs; though I guess you'd need to check that the order of the sub tracks is always the same, at least per season).
