Perry3 0 Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 Hello Emby, I have setup Emby on a TrueNAS server using the Emby application that is available in the TrueNAS repository. The issue that I'm having is I can't establish another connection with a Fire TV cube, although I already have a connection with a Fire TV cube. The Fire TV cube that is connected is located in my home office and the Emby version is 2.1.14a. The Fire TV cube in the media room that will not connect is running the same version of Emby 2.1.14a. Every time I go through the setup, to connect the Emby application, I receive can't connect to server. I'm using the server IP address to connect to it. The Fire TV cubes are ethernet connected to my network. Emby/TrueNAS server: TrueNAS-SCALE-23.10.2; Emby - App Version 4.8.10.0, Chart Version 2.0.13 Please view images below for additional information. Thank you, Perry
ebr 16169 Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 Hi. Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares? Thanks.
Perry3 0 Posted November 6, 2024 Author Posted November 6, 2024 Emby Team, Actually no, it didn't help. I downloaded the Emby for Android via the Fire TV and installed it, I still received the same error message of not being able to connect to server. I don't understand why I can't connect any other Fire TV device when one is actually connected. As I stated before, I rechecked to make sure the other Fire TV devices are running the same version of the Emby application. I also researched whether or not TrueNAS has a Firewall and it doesn't, according to the TrueNAS community. I wanted to make sure that TrueNAS wasn't blocking the other connections. Thanks, Perry

ebr 16169 Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Hi. Have you checked your router? I recall some folks discovering that router firewalls were blocking local traffic between devices like the Fire.
