The dedicated app for the device you are using (there are two for Windows): https://emby.media/download.html Note though that some clients require a (one-off per app store login) payment for full functionality; or alternatively a premiere subscription on the server which enables all clients (you can buy a single month to test, and not continue if you choose). https://emby.media/support/articles/Premiere-Feature-Matrix.html Paul
Carlo 4561 Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 @Luke I created and tested numerous formats of rtsp streams using Nvidia Broadcast, VLC, Restreamer & OBS using mpegts & HLS with different codecs, non=segmented and segmented, different key values as well as with & without B frames using both uniicast & multicast, etc. If VLC could play it, so could Emby Server beta 4.9.0.32, however it would never direct play regardless of client and would only software decode/encode. Short of running 15 second segments it would not be able calculate the bitrate and would default to 200mbps (stream was 1000K) which itself would trigger transcoding. ffmpeg would always fail the first run and fail as much as 4 times but play on the 5h. The ffmpeg logs nearly always had this error: 18:32:18.554 [rtsp @ 0000020e8b0bb440] method SETUP failed: 461 Unsupported transport
