jodido2024 1 Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 When I try to add a song to an existing playlist, the existing playlists do not appear as options. Only "create new."
Abobader 3464 Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 Hello jodido2024, ** This is an auto reply ** Please wait for someone from staff support or our members to reply to you. It's recommended to provide more info, as it explain in this thread: Thank you. Emby Team
Luke 42079 Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 Hi @jodido2024can you please provide an example? What existing playlist are you referring to? Thanks !
jodido2024 1 Posted October 31, 2024 Author Posted October 31, 2024 I have a playlist called Autumn in NY (and others). I am trying to add a version of this song to the playlist, but when I select Add to Playlist none of the existing playlists appear. The only option is to create a new playlist.
Gilgamesh_48 1240 Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 Maybe either Emby does not like the song or maybe Emby thinks the song is so good it rises above the others and does not deserve to be polluted by sharing space with others.
Luke 42079 Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 OK as a test, if you create a new playlist, does that show up in the Add to Playlist dialog?
jodido2024 1 Posted October 31, 2024 Author Posted October 31, 2024 No. I have three playlists and none of them show up, including the one I created on Emby. All three are visible under Playlists.

jodido2024 1 Posted November 1, 2024 Author Posted November 1, 2024 I created a new playlist and was able to add a second song to it. The new playlist was the only one that appeared.

jodido2024 1 Posted November 10, 2024 Author Posted November 10, 2024 (edited) Interesting. There is only one user profile, but it's possible the offending playlists were imported after having been created by another app (Windows Music Player or Media Monkey). Is there a way to see who the owner is and change that? Edited November 10, 2024 by jodido2024

jodido2024 1 Posted November 19, 2024 Author Posted November 19, 2024 They're all in playlists, but they're not in the Emby playlists folder, if that matters. They are all in a playlists folder somewhere else. Also they're all .wpl files, not .m3u. I'm gonna try copying them to the Emby playlists folder and see what happens.

Hi, no, you don't need to do this. What version of Emby Server are you running? You're able to play these playlists, right?
jodido2024 1 Posted November 21, 2024 Author Posted November 21, 2024 I can play them, just can't add to them. Anyway, I tried copying them to an Emby folder and it had no effect.

Luke 42079 Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 OK try this. If you edit that user in user management and just click save, does that resolve the issue?
