Gutsberzerk 2 Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Hey guys. So my server is at about 14TB of anime, tv shows and documentaries. I'll probably use no more than 20TB to be honest. As such about half that is from anime alone. It's taken me a while to get the best quality for most anime, along with any specials / bonus episodes and movies, all ordered correctly. Sometimes having to manually enter the right details etc. Anyway after doing all these edits, I've locked all the metadata for everything so nothing gets messed up. I do have this auto-backup plugin that runs every few days. However where is the folder for all this? I'd like to backup that paticular folder elsewhere. And when I do, if anything happens to the server I assume I can just drop that backed up folder back, and everything will be the same right? As for all my media itself, what are my options for backing those up? Just copy & paste the media folders onto an extrenal HDD? Or maybe invest in a Synology? What do you guys do?
pwhodges 2012 Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 I manage my media on a 12TB drive on my desktop. Every night (or manually if I want to see something I've added straight away) a backup program (Second Copy) runs to sync the relevant directories on the separate machine (my desktop from five years ago) I use for streaming.
