oliohacienda 1 Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 I can get to using my browsers and play video and do all from the Internet, when I try to connect using the specific address and port of my server - I don’t see any traffic at all getting to my firewall. I have tried to just use the server name, https://serverdomain.name, and I’m putting in port 443. I try other ports with the same name and still no traffic. Is there something I’m missing here?
Luke 42077 Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 Hi, is your server setup for SSL and port 443?

Or do you mean you are using a browser only on your own network - in which case you need to set your server and router up to enable access from outside your network. https://emby.media/support/articles/Remote-Setup.html Setting up https is additional work, which you don't need just to get started. Thidsa 44 Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 (edited) Ah finally someone with the same problem....sorry Didnt get much respons in my thread in General/Windows on this. @Lukeyou need to help us with this, atleast if it is something with the apps on iphone/macos so it dont carry over to next version. Did it work before on the previous version of ios app? Here it did. This happened with version 2.2.31 here im sure. All android apps, appletv works here as normal. Edited October 28, 2024 by Thidsa
oliohacienda 1 Posted October 28, 2024 Author Posted October 28, 2024 @Lukeas I said, I get to it through the browser using https on the internet (multiple mobile ISPs, etc.) and it works great. I have a firewall using haproxy to present it using certs by Let’s Encrypt. What I’m wondering is if the ISPs are blocking certain client tags these days for incoming traffic since it comes before the TLS part. Might make sense to put in a switch to give it a standard browser tag like Mozilla or Chrome being that it makes zero real difference other than whoever wants to filter it before it gets to you. At any rate, any other ideas???

Does it work with Android devices too? Im sorry but I cant help you. only trying to find out if you have the same problem as I have starting with latest IOS app update. All you have described is the same...
