auto boxsets not adding new collections

You probably want to find out why the collection id isn't getting filled in

Like the title says the plug in will never add new box-sets on its own.  Even if i go in and manually tell it to update it will not identify any. If I go in and put the collection ID in it will go get the meta and art for that collection how do I make it find them and do everything automatically like it did when it was first installed.

If there is no collection ID then the plug-in cannot do anything.  Do you use our providers or a 3rd party tool?

I do a manual refresh on the metadata then it will get the collection ID. I have a program that can get meta but I have turned it off to let MB get it already. let me see if I stop that program from running will the ID be entered then may take some time will need to get a movie that is part of a series now. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I was unaware that MB got the ID I thought that is what the plug-in did.

The plug in dont work for me , I added the plug in. it didn'T add any collections. at first I checked my metadata , somes didn't have the collection id so I did a refresh and mb3 got the collections IDs but even after a manual scan from the plug in, I don't have any new collection created.

Can someone help me?

EDIT: The logs says it find only 2 collection but I've a lot more with TMDbCollectionId here are the logs.

Do I have to clean some cache to get the refresh of metadata I did to find all TMBDcollectionId?

Can you give us some specific examples of items that have the collection ID in them but aren't being discovered?  Screen caps are the easiest to understand.  Thanks.

Here is an example of metadata of collection 125574 who autobox says find only 1 member but I've the 2 members with the same ID

the 2 members print screen in attachement

Thank you,

Hmmmm... that is odd.  Try hitting the save button on both of those.

Also, your original post said there were more than just two collections.  Do you have examples of movies with collection IDs other than the ones in the log above?

Posted (edited)

I tried to manually save some collections and same log with only the same 2 with 1 members appears in log

here some screenshot of other collections , I checked the movie.xml and all the collections ID are there

it's really weird, I don't understand why it dont detect .

Edit: I tried to remove collections id from this 2 movies detected and they still appears in log after a librairy scan and autoboxset refresh

What do you mean by you "tried to manually save some collections"?

The auto box set plug-in will only look for movies that you haven't put into collections yourself...

Posted (edited)

no I was talking about tried to remove tTheMovieDb Collection Id: number in metadata manager for the collections detected by autoboxset or resave metadata from manager for other collections, I don't have any manual collections added

Yeah, all of your searches are failing but if I call the tmdb api directly, I'm getting responses back.

What version of AutoBoxSets do you have installed?

Not really.  Make sure your server can get out to tmdb.  I just tested by creating two Hunger games movies in my collection and it worked fine:

I'm sorry but I don't really have a good answer for you.  ABS just queries the library for all Movies that have a tmdb collection ID defined.  In your situation this is only coming up with two items.  The only thing I can think of would be that the other items aren't actually movies but I don't think you could even edit the IDs if they weren't.

That doesn't necessarily mean our server application can get there but I don't see errors in your log to that effect either so I'm at a loss as to why your system cannot find those collections.

Do you have our internet providers enabled?

@@ebr here ya go server-63553003693.txt

Edit - Just removed all my collections, making sure collections dir was clear. then ran Auto BoxSets and it gives the same error on all 95 Box Sets found

Okay, I was hoping maybe there would be more info there but there isn't.  My search for that ID using the servers routine to go to tmdb is returning no results.  This could either be a problem in our search provider or a problem with the tmdb API itself.

It looks suspicious to me though because it seems all the new sets being found in your collection are not being found when we look for them on tmdb.

Just enabled internet providers and ran AutoBoxSets with the following results:-

OK. Based on his comments perhaps there are issues when internet providers are disabled. Most people here use our internet providers and that's where we put most of our efforts. So there could be side effects from having them off

Posted

Yeah, actually, Auto Box Sets has a pre-requisite of using our providers because it depends on both the ID information we gather for the individual movies and the searching for the set information.

Basically, there is no way for us to automatically gather information on Box Sets if you don't allow our providers to do that.

From the plug-in description in the catalog:

This plug-in relies on the "Belongs to Collection" information provided by TMDb. and requires internet metadata fetching for collections be enabled.
