Pilaf 0 Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 Hi, I cant play some media. I get an error message like there is no compatible flux (on PC and TV). On mobile i dont get error but its too slow i get 2-3 seconds of images and then infinite load. Emby version : 4.8.10.0 (last available) via manual installation with emby-server-qnap_4.8.10.0_x86_64.qpkg Here is the last ffmeg log (i played from my PC) : ffmpeg-transcode-fd9d1b50-b8fc-41cb-b0df-a7c0054dd38d_1.txt It happens only with big media, it sounds its a conversion problem ? On my TV im conected with ethernet cat 6 cable, 1Gb available. 4K flux is 200Mb, why does i cant direct play without conversion ? I give you also the embyserver.txt log : embyserver.txt Thank you in advance and sorry for bad english
GrimReaper 4739 Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 (edited) Quote &TranscodeReasons=SubtitleCodecNotSupported,DirectPlayError&allowVideoStreamCopy=false&allowAudioStreamCopy=false Try playing that item without graphical (PGSSUB) subs selected (choose either embedded text subs (SUBRIP) or obtain external text-based subs (SRT)). Neminem 1518 Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 (edited) Your Server is not fast enough to transcode your video file. 10:31:26.199 elapsed=00:00:01.93 frame= 13 fps=6.7 q=0.0 size=N/A time=00:00:00.50 bitrate=N/A throttle=off speed=0.261x The number marked in RED should be over 1 for you to stream that file. It looks like you are using Chrome as your player. Thats not great with HVEC and you have selected TrueHD 7.1 audio + subs. Thats too much for you CPU VAAPI Atom Processor Z36xxx/Z37xxx Series Graphics Edited October 23, 2024 by Neminem
Pilaf 0 Posted October 23, 2024 Author Posted October 23, 2024 (edited) My log IS from Chrome but its the same with emby client. Regarding to my CPU, Can I make something to avoid transcoding? Like direct output and let the client manage ? It seems that i could play 4K médias in the past but not sure about the size. PS : i have an old nvidia shield should i use it as emby server ? Neminem 1518 Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 What client ? Your supplied transcode log shows this. App: Emby Web 4.8.10.0 Chrome Windows User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/130.0.0.0 Safari/537.36 You could try disabling these for your user. Other wise stay away from 4K until you get a client or server that handle that.
Pilaf 0 Posted October 23, 2024 Author Posted October 23, 2024 (edited) Because i gave you a log from chrome client like i said it dont work too.with emby client for Android and LG OS smart TV. Do you think an old NVIDIA Shield (2015) Can handle it ? Tegra X1, huit cœurs : 4 Cortex A57 à 2 Ghz et 4 Cortex A53 Edited October 23, 2024 by Pilaf
Luke 42077 Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 Hi, are you saying you want to use the shield as a client? Yes that is a great choice.
