Hello,

Recently I found my server been very slow that it may consume 10-15 secs to load the full homepage on mobile apps.

I checked the log on my Debian 12 server and I found a lot of 500 errors with an extremely long response time with the webpath above.

Here are the related logs:

These requests made the loading process terribly slow but I could not find any similar problem online. Could someone help me?

Could someone give me some advice? I re-scanned the Metadata Folder but it did not help.

Hi @MissMakimahave you played with the server database settings? Can you try increasing the cache size, then restarting the server and see how things compare? Thanks !

@LukeNo I didn't do anything like that. In the past 2 months I reinstalled the emby-server and solved this problem for a while. But now it is happening again in my new deployment. I tried increase the cache to 5120MB but it doesn't work.

Sure. You can search for 'Response 500' in the log file. There are countless results.

OK if you need immediate relief you could always try the 4.9 beta server as there are some performance improvements there.

Is that a performance-related problem? I'm using a VM with 16-core Intel Xeon Gold 6138 CPU and 32 GB RAM. The occupation of computing resources are relatively low right now.

Hi, yes it appears to be some slow database queries.
