MissMakima 2 Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 Hello, Recently I found my server been very slow that it may consume 10-15 secs to load the full homepage on mobile apps. I checked the log on my Debian 12 server and I found a lot of 500 errors with an extremely long response time with the webpath above. Here are the related logs: 2024-10-22 09:16:57.849 Info Server: http/1.1 Response 500 to <ClientIP>. Time: 8226ms. Could someone help me?
MissMakima 2 Posted October 23, 2024 Author Posted October 23, 2024 Could someone give me some advice? I re-scanned the Metadata Folder but it did not help.

Luke 42077 Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Hi @MissMakimahave you played with the server database settings? Can you try increasing the cache size, then restarting the server and see how things compare? Thanks !

In the past 2 months I reinstalled the emby-server and solved this problem for a while. But now it is happening again in my new deployment. I tried increase the cache to 5120MB but it doesn't work.

Luke 42077 Posted January 17, 2025 Posted January 17, 2025 OK if you need immediate relief you could always try the 4.9 beta server as there are some performance improvements there.

Is that a performance-related problem? I'm using a VM with 16-core Intel Xeon Gold 6138 CPU and 32 GB RAM. The occupation of computing resources are relatively low right now.
Luke 42077 Posted January 20, 2025 Posted January 20, 2025 Hi, yes it appears to be some slow database queries.
