podonnell 47 Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 Hi, What’s the best way to set up a “watch me” system? Essentially want to keep track of what is on my short list to watch. I was making a playlist, but when I add a series, it puts in all the episodes. It makes sense why it does that; but I’d rather have the series as a single item. I’m thinking playlist might not be the best way for that reason. Any other tips how I could achieve this? Thanks!

podonnell 47 Posted October 23, 2024 Author Posted October 23, 2024 Thanks for the info. My solution for now is going to be adding just the 'next / first' episode for a series that I want to watch as opposed to the Series as a whole. That will keep the playlist from being massive.
Tremas 199 Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 Consider lending your support to the ongoing feature request here: To me, this functionality is the largest gap in emby's feature set. 1
Tremas 199 Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 Personally, I use collections at the moment but that and favorites are still work-arounds. A full-featured "watch list" is a feature that I would consider to be table-stakes for any media manager. Hence the feature request. Please like the first post in the Watchlist Feature Request if you haven't already. That is one way the emby team evaluates interest in a feature. 1

The 'favorites' system however is almost identical to what I need. If I could have two of those lists and rename one of them, then I'd be happy. 2
