How to fix host without http

Hello,

Since before version 4.8.1.0 you could enter the manual section of HOST: domain.com directly
PORT: XXX
I made the mistake of updating the server to version 4.8.8.8 and now it forces me to put: HOST: http://domain.com

PS. My domain has an insecure connection

If I don't put the http:// I get an error when connecting to the server
My server is configured to connect insecurely.

Question:

How do I get it to reconnect just by using the domain example:
INSECURE CONNECTION
HOST: domain.com
instead of typing manually

My only solution is to DOWNGRADE but they say it could corrupt the database, it's a shame.

PS. I don't use a secure https connection, my server is on Windows and I only asked my domain to redirect the real IP in the subdomain.
I hope you can help me.

What's your objection to typing https:// if that's the protocol you are using?

What client are you using?  I ask because in some circumstances a browser may try to force https when it is not available - this behaviour can be overridden on a site by site basis or globally in the browser settings.

Downgrading from 4.8.8 to 4.8.1 would not be a problem - it's going from a beta back to the previous stable which is likely not to work.  But I doubt that downgrading will do anything useful for you.

Hi, are you seeing this in the browser? It is the browsers trying to force https nowadays. I don't think you'll see anything different by using a different server version.

Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

when clients enter manually with ENTER MANUALLY IP on the TV and in the app.

in the browser it is solved by disabling the secure connection. But my problem is mainly with the mobile apps and TV.

it was easier for people to enter HOST: domain.com
than having to type http://.domain.com

now you can't just type the domain.

PS. I don't use https because the configuration is too complicated for me.

HI, you can still do that. Nothing has changed there. What server port do you use?

Just curious, but why don't you get a free certificate and install it for your server so you can use https?
