plamen6877 2 Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 (edited) Hi, i have rtsp stream, which is not playable with security cams plugin In vlc on windows works perfect. My emby is on ubuntu server. I found that, when i try ffmpeg -i rtsp://user:pass@10.10.10.10:554/example_stream not working, but when i add "-rtsp_transport tcp" ffmpeg works. So in emby logs i saw, that "-rtsp_transport tcp" is missing and maybe that is the problem. Can someone help with this issue? Edited October 18, 2024 by plamen6877
Luke 42077 Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
plamen6877 2 Posted October 22, 2024 Author Posted October 22, 2024 Hi, here is screenshots from emby, from linux terminal with ffprobe and emby log. Thanks for reply! embyserver.txt
Luke 42077 Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 @plamen6877instead of those changes to the arguments, what if you try? -rtsp_flags prefer_tcp before the -i. How does that compare?
plamen6877 2 Posted October 24, 2024 Author Posted October 24, 2024 (edited) When i replace "-rtsp transport tcp" with "-rtsp_flags prefer_tcp" result is same, it works. Edited October 24, 2024 by plamen6877 1
O19GP 7 Posted January 9, 2025 Posted January 9, 2025 @Luke I have an issue that sounds very similar. Happy to share logs etc, but before I do, how could I implement the above solution? I only have the option to add the rtsp stream, not sure where I would add arguments?
Solution Luke 42077 Posted January 14, 2025 Solution Posted January 14, 2025 Hi, there are changes already incorporated into the 4.9 beta channels so you could just try that instead.
plamen6877 2 Posted January 14, 2025 Author Posted January 14, 2025 As you can see, i ran ffmpeg in linux cli. In cli you can add parameters. All things is working now! Just use latest beta! TNX for support! 1
