Hi Luke, I see a new version of Samsung Emby has just been released.

Is this version now available globally on all Samsung TV App stores?  The previous version was unavailable in the UAE so it's painful uninstalling/reinstalling every month when it stops working.

If this version does not appear on UAE app store for Samsung, what would be the ETA for it to start showing up so I can exit this monthly loop?

I would check on your TV just in case. It is released in the same country set as before. Once the release submission has finished, then we will look at doing another country expansion. Unfortunately the Samsung dev portal doesn't allow us to have both things going at the same time so we just have to wait. There is still one more model group that the submission is still in review for so we can't do anything until that completes.

I've checked again and it is still not showing up in UAE store.

Would be much appreciated if the country expansion could be done next after the current submission review has completed.  Do you have a gut feel for when this might be?

A number of users in this thread have asked for further countries to be added, so if possible the next release having all Samsung App store countries included would be ideal.

I don't, but we constantly message and bug them to try and get them to move quicker.

Hi Luke, any update on if it will show in the Samsung store now?

Samsung Emby stopped working this week from the sideload because it's been more than a month since the last build release.  I've been checking here each day for a new release but nothing here as yet.  I can't even reinstall the previous build as the TV shows the error "emby.tmg, The application cannot be installed because the validity period has expired. [-6]"

So if the app is still not in the Samsung store for UAE then can the team please rev up the current Samsung TV build and re-release today, or otherwise publish the next version to sideload?  Either way a solution is needed immediately for users of the manual sideload method on Samsung TVs as otherwise Emby cannot be used at all.  If you have another workaround or solution then please advise.

Try downloading from GitHub again.  The latest version is 2.1.2 and was uploaded on 26 Jun.  The release notes post was just never updated.  

Works fine here and we should have about 10 days left before it expires.

Hi Frostbyte,

I've re-downloaded the Github version again but put it on a different USB this time and it's installed all fine.

Not sure what happened when I did this process earlier unless it was finding the older emby.tmg of the previous version (but expect the newer version should have overwritten onto the USB).

All good for now then and appreciate the prompt response and help here.

The 2.1.0 update is still in review for one model group. Within the last few days it actually got approved and now it's waiting to launch, but until that happens the Samsung dev site won't let us submit a country change request.  Going from waiting to launch to actually launching has sometimes taken a few days, and other times taken a few weeks, so we just have to wait.

Emby for Samsung has been released in about 20 new countries. If you’ve been waiting on it please check the App Store and see if it’s available now. Thanks !

Hey Luke and team, I can confirm that the Emby app is now available on the UAE Samsung TV app store. 

All working well so thanks guys for pushing this through and getting it added.
