Emby remote access stopped working after update.

I recently updated to App Version: 4.8.10.0 Chart Version: 2.0.13 on my Truenas Scale. Since updating I can no longer stream outside my network. Other Premier options work within my network such as podcast and lyrics. No other changes were made to the system during this time.

I tried rolling back Chart Version: 2.0.12 also but it still didn't work. Tried updating again and still same issue. Emby tells me I have a lifetime license and I'm well within my limits. I tried reentering my key but it made no difference.

Updated my Qnap NAS at the same time and it still works as it is supposed to. I tried shutting down the Qnap completely just in case somehow it was interfering but it made no difference. I'm in the process of migrating from the Qnap to the Truenas but just haven't wanted to shut down the qnap as I use it as the backup.

I'm not seeing anything in particular that stands out. Ports are the same. We only access through the IP address or Emby connect logon.

Any ideas?

I mistakenly posted this in the Linux Forum earlier.

Hi, what exactly happens when you try to connect?

The exact message is " Unable to Reach Server We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again"

Did you confirm on the Emby dashboard that your public IP did not change? The WAN IP?

Do you know if the local IP 192.168.1.73 got changed during the update ?

Are you manually port forwarding or leaving it up to upnp ?   If upnp - try rebooting your router and then reboot emby afterwards.  if manually port forwarded - then check it's forwarding to the IP above.

Yes, also made sure the ports had not changed for some odd reason. The IP changes once a month because my ISP reissues IP's so we always take this into account and is the first thing I check.

OK. Did you try doing a new server connection and manually entering the address?

@Richard3535let's try to keep this discussion to a single thread, thanks

Yes, I have tried to enter it as a new server by using the "add server." I have attempted this on multiple devices. Router has been restarted. Not sure access through the router is the issues since I can still access the Qnap Emby setup with no issues.

Does emby show the correct WAN address on the dashboard ?

If you use canyouseeme.org does it show your WAN IP:Port as being open?
