Pottetan 5 Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 I did a fresh install of Emby a couple of weeks ago, already had Emby previously but had an issue with outside access, so re-installed everything on a fresh TrueNAS Scale 24 install. At first Emby saw everything and updated all files on folders. I have 7 libraries. However, a week ago Emby stopped seeing new files. It doesn't matter on which library or folder they are, they aren't seen. And, weirdly, new files on existing artists are seeing but cannot be played. The files work good and they're there if I open them from Windows. I've attached the logs. I can see some access denied errors at the end, but no idea how to fix them, since all of the files were working a week ago. Any insight on to what happened? Thanks! embyserver.txt embyserver-63864641487.txt ffmpeg-transcode-3a199c63-7c2d-441b-be50-04ebac9bcb29_1.txt hardware_detection-63864641490.txt
Luke 42077 Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 H there, can you please provide a specific example of what's not being seen? Thanks.
Pottetan 5 Posted October 16, 2024 Author Posted October 16, 2024 Luke: Any kind of file, music, videos or movies. For example, I have an Anime library, and any new series being added are not recognized by Emby. Also, new episodes added to existing series are showing on Emby but can't be played, it gives a playback error. I believe there's something related to permissions. I'm trying a fix that you suggested on another post with a similar issue, will post if I'm able to fix it.

At the end I edited some permission and then Emby asked me to redo setup. Not a big deal, all of the metadata is on .nfo files, and everything looks like it's working now. Thanks! 2
