richlee91 0 Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 I cannot play these h.265 files. I get invalid arguments. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you! ffmpeg-transcode-3f711232-4282-4717-88e4-ac3630789484_1.txt embyserver.txt
Luke 42077 Posted February 5, 2025 Posted February 5, 2025 @richlee91are you still having an issue with this? If so, can you please provide a sample file for testing? Thanks !
garavelusta 1 Posted May 26, 2025 Posted May 26, 2025 (edited) I'm experiencing a similar issue. The MKV files themselves are fine — it appears to be a naming-related problem. Here’s an example file path: /media/tv/Show Name (2025) [imdb-tt12345678]/Season 01/Show Name - S01E01 - TBA [ABC WEBDL-1080p][AAC 2.0][h264]-ABC.mkv Interestingly, I have another episode with the exact same naming format that works without any issues. Renaming the file resolves the problem, which leads me to suspect it might be related to an encoding issue — possibly involving special characters. I noticed that one of the filenames included the Turkish "ı" (dotless 'i'), which may be causing parsing or recognition problems in some systems. Edited May 26, 2025 by garavelusta

Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
