Unable to Get STRM Files Working with Audio Files

I'm unable to get audio to work with STRM but video works just fine. I want to use STRM files for movie and TV soundtracks from my library to save space. My server will not recognize the STRM file if it's audio. I even tried making a separate music library with STRM files as a test in case it had something to do with how theme music is recognized and it didn't work. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if Emby just doesn't support straight audio files right now?

Hi, why do you think they're not being recognized?

What exactly did you do?

But works fine here.

I'm not sure. I was finally able to get it to work in a music library (not sure what I did differently.) It still won't work as a theme though. I tested it by by placing it as "theme-music\song1.strm" and I a mp3 file placed as "theme-music\song2" and only song2 plays.

Okay, that was my question. It's just not supported yet. Thank you for responding.

The Solution needs removed in that Feature request as it does not work for Theme Music (mp3), but looks like backdrops works with strm files.  And no issues seen with audio or video library files.

We can look at strm support for themes. Thanks.
