Specific Show - Always adds new episodes as watched

Hi all

I've tried searching around but can't seem to see a solution anywhere.  I have a single show that, whenever new episodes are added, they are marked as "watched".

I have tried to mark the entire show watched and then unwatched again.  So I then thought I would copy the files out, delete the show and then copy them back so that it would detect it as a new show...same problem.

Is there any way to completely remove/reset the server/database for a specific show?

Emby is running on a Docker in Unraid and is version 4.8.10.0

Thanks in advance

Path or existitance becomes irrelavent when is comes to userdata as it is tracked by providerid is this a show that you have previously watched?

Do you sync with TRAKT?

It only affect one user correct?

But something sound really off with your users userdata?

It only affects one user and one show (I only have a single user, shared across multiple devices) - I haven't watched any of the new episodes...but it's possible that it was one of those shows that thetvdb re-ordered and I had previously watched that series number before the re-order.

I don't use Trakt though

That could be the case if the providerid is already watched.  Not sure of a way beside adding dummy episode to the show for every episode then mark the entire show as unwatched.

But dev will most likely have to comment.

Can you provide a specific example?

How are your files named and organized?

Looks like TMDB has it as two shows and will guess TVDB combine them both and changed season order.

But not quite sure how anything future could be affected.

My only guess would as mentioned you can drop these dummy files in Season 11 and see if the show up as watched then mark them unwatched.  As I am not quite sure you can really purge a specific show/episodes from usersdata as it could be tedious cross-referencing they tables.

Everything I have is named in the same way - Series Name\Season Number\Series Name - S0XE0X - Episode Name SOURCE-XXXXp

So, in this case

\TV Shows\The Great British Bake Off An Extra Slice\Season 11\The Great British Bake Off - An Extra Slice - S11E03 - Episode 3 HDTV-1080p

Thanks - The dummy files worked in the end.

I had to keep adding dummy series/files until it stopped marking them as watched.

I remember what they did now - the show is a partner show to The Great British Bake Off and, on thetvdb, they initially matched the season to the season number of the partner show.  Then, they decided that they didn't want to do that and reverted to actual seasons of the show itself.

Got there in the end - Many thanks
