Micro70 1 Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 Hello, I use Emby Server on my Synology as a TV source and use the VU+ plugin. Is there a way to fill the empty (more of them) pictograms with content. Thanks Mic

Micro70 1 Posted October 15, 2024 Author Posted October 15, 2024 At the moment I'm using the VU as a source, but I only get the pure EPG as text. I use the (advanced-event-libary) plugin on the VU. This provides the appropriate pictograms on the box. It was a mistake on my part when I thought the information would also be transferred to the Emby sever. Unfortunately I have no idea which xmltv I can use.
Micro70 1 Posted October 15, 2024 Author Posted October 15, 2024 The channel pictograms are all there, only the pictograms from the individual broadcasts are missing.
Carlo 4560 Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 Sorry I missed that. The images come from the guide provider, normally contained in the XML file. I've never used the VU plugin so I can't be helpful in any specific in this regard. If you open the XML file in a text file, do you see any URLs for the individual guide entries? If so, do these open in a browser if you enter the URL directly? What is the actual source of your TV lineup? Is it cable, OTA, M3U? If Cable or OTA and you are in Canada, UK or USA, you should be able to switch your guide provider to the built in EPG from Emby. If the source is M3U based, and you also enter the XML guide data in VU, then you could try entering the XML guide URL directly in Emby Server for the tuner. Out of curiously, what is your reason/need to use the VU in your setup? Thanks, Carlo
Micro70 1 Posted October 15, 2024 Author Posted October 15, 2024 The Vu is my TV source and also provides channel logos and text information about the programs. I'm just missing picture information about the individual television shows. So I still need a separate guide provider. Unfortunately I have no idea which one I can use.
Luke 42077 Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 Have you looked into something like epg.best?
Carlo 4560 Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 What is the actual source of TV being fed to VU? Cable, OTA, SAT, IPTV?
Micro70 1 Posted October 16, 2024 Author Posted October 16, 2024 First of all, thank you for the help. I have SAT reception. Emby also gets EPG text via it.

Micro70 1 Posted October 20, 2024 Author Posted October 20, 2024 Thanks again for the help. EasyEpg is exactly what I was looking for. 1
