Request for player titles

When one mouseovers the player, the season title is displayed in white text and episode title is smaller and also a white text. Neither have any sort o background. This can make them impossible to see i the video is currently displaying white. The titles should have a simi-transparent background to allow them to be read at any time. I the video is pure white

In the below image, I used a scene where the text would still be visible, tho I must zoom in a bit on my pc in order to know what is printed without having to stare at it. Still, on a tv I am not sitting where I can move forward to be able to read that, the whole titles are unreadable while the video is white-ish.

I suggest the background color and the ability to set transparency in user options. With defaults in server options.

This one is a deferent image. But. it shows the white text over various light colors in the video.

Again. this just shows the text over backgrounds it can be visible over. But, it's not easily completely visible.

I can't read this text at all on the TV.

 

Oh, I see, It's trying to use the backdrop of the player controls. But, It's not really noticeable at the top when it's not in front of your face. Say, 2 + meters away.

Actually, If that backprop is an image or a number in a file in the server data, where would one go to find that? Then it could be modded as desired.

Personally, I like how it looks as it but, in regards to the text, I would rather have an opaque player controls backdrop. I'm a user of, windows is dragged to an extended monitor (the tv via a Roku), no my controls are Keybaord and mouse. No remotes used.  Mostly that is control is done blindedly. I only mouse-over when I want to see the titles. I often find myself having to wait for frames that are rather dark around where the titles would show up.

I've been working on trying to mod the css for the web player, chrome and opera both have override features  but, so far setting alphas to 1 (assuming the alphas are decimal from 0 to 1) have had no effect.

Example:

--button-background-alpha: 1
