Problems windows freeze when emby server run

Hello, I have been having a problem with my emby server for 2 weeks. When my emby server is running after a while my windows freezes, my network card disconnects from the network and my mouse freezes. I have to completely restart my computer physically. Oddly enough I had the same problem with the plex server software and I decided to buy emby premiere to try. The problem had been solved but the bug is back. I don't understand where the problem is but there is a link between the 2 software. It crashes when they are running. Thank you for your answer.

I am sending you my logs as attachments.

Hi,

This doesn't sound like a software issue but a device/hardware or driver issue.

Take a look at Windows event log to see if there are any errors.

dsl for the delay in my response because I did tests with my server as you told me and
I noticed in windows event log that my network card gives
and rtcx21 error then crashes my freeze server.
everything is just when my emby server is running.
I updated the driver for my network card directly on the realtek site but my emby server is still crashing.
When I close the emby server my server works correctly without crashing.
In my system event log I have an rt640x64 error on my network card which appears but does not crash my server.
In short my server freezes and crashes when my emby server is running.
really weird. I don't understand anything anymore.
I don't know what to do anymore to make it work correctly

thank you

This is not a problem with Emby. Sounds like your network card is dying. Try replacing it.

I have to agree, this is outside Emby and a hardware/device/OS issue.
What happens if you try to restart rtcx21 when errors out?

If everything starts working again as normal, you can probably create a little script that resets this on failure. That's not idea of course.
If you have the ability, you may want to try a fresh install and see if solves the problem.

I will give you a sample error that occurs in the system.
If you look at my rt640x64 network card error.
Error occurs in my system but does not crash my server.
On the other hand, when I open the emby server after a period of time, my network card disconnects and my mouse freezes. just my keyboard working.
In short I had the same problem on Windows 10 and now on Windows 11 same thing.
To answer your question Carlo I don't know how to restart a system error.
But I can try to reinstall Windows 11. The first time I installed emby everything worked number 1.
But the problem I had on plex server became the same on my emby server.
Probably it comes from the Windows system or a hardware problem but I have been testing for 4 days without emby software open and my server has not crashed yet.
I still have to try a hardware test of my Asus motherboard. This is an intermittent problem but occurs just when emby is running.
I am sending you an overview of the problems my system is giving me. Thank you for your help, it is greatly appreciated.

To restart a driver in Windows from the command line (CLI), you can use the "pnputil" command with the "/restart-device" parameter, which is accessed through an elevated command prompt; for example, to restart a specific device, you would type: "pnputil /restart-device <device_id>".

Alternative method using "devcon":

Command: devcon restart <device_id>

How to find a device ID:

Device Manager: Open Device Manager, navigate to the device you want to restart, right-click on it, select "Properties", and then go to the "Details" tab. Choose "Device Instance ID" from the dropdown menu to view the device ID.

I'll do some testing and get back to you.

thanks

Had a chance to try it yet?
Not needing to use it would be great as well. :)
