firefox1970 12 Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 Hello, I sort my Music and Data by Years. Every Library have Sub Folders with Years. Emby shows every Year only 1996 is missing. Even I create the Library new, still the same. Why ?
Neminem 1516 Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 (edited) LIbrary type ? Music ? Music Naming Home video ? Tv show ? TV Naming Movies ? Movie Naming Audiobooks ? Audio Book Naming etc .... Edited October 11, 2024 by Neminem

Neminem 1516 Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 (edited) That well and fine ! But what kind of videos ? Well as we are at it supply server logs Log Files Edited October 11, 2024 by Neminem
firefox1970 12 Posted October 11, 2024 Author Posted October 11, 2024 Ah now I got what you mean "Movies" All other Years show up, only 1996 not. Which log File you need ?
firefox1970 12 Posted October 11, 2024 Author Posted October 11, 2024 I Found out what the Problem is. At the Folder 1996 I have only one Movie not more. If I copy 2 more Movies inside this Folder then Emby will show it. Is there any Setting I can change this ??

No, not at present but it seems your folder layout isn't following our Movie Naming guide for its folder structure. https://emby.media/support/articles/Movie-Naming.html?q=movie
Luke 42077 Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Hi, what folder did you add to your movies library?

Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Would fall under the CollapseVideoFolders/CollapseSingleItemFolders hidden switches. So the folder is lost with a single item. Depending on how old your install is this behavior should have changed on a NEW install.

I think I install Emby the First time 2 or 3 Year ago nd Update it every time. Is there any fix for this?? To many Video, Fotos and Music on it. It will cost me Weeks to get this all together and reinstall it.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Unfortunately changing these flags is destuctive and cause libraries to rebuild. You would need to verify the CollapseVideoFolders in the system.xml or the API as you can only verify the CollapseSingleItemFolders per library in the api as the /root/default/libraryfolders options.xml are no longer used and are database only now.
firefox1970 12 Posted October 12, 2024 Author Posted October 12, 2024 Will there be a Patch to fix this ???
Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 7 minutes ago, firefox1970 said: Will there be a Patch to fix this ??? My guess would be no as dev doesn't really want to flip these switches on existing install as it would kill everyone that does not save metadata with media as flipping the switches basically nukes the library and readds it per the adding or removing a folder layer. But only the devs can truly answer that.

Solution Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 14, 2024 Solution Posted October 14, 2024 So that need changed to false to so libraries can honor there settings.
firefox1970 12 Posted October 14, 2024 Author Posted October 14, 2024 thx @Happy2PlayYou dont know how much I hate "vi" but I change it from true to false. Also I reboot the EmbyServer but the Folder 1996 is still missing Regards Firefox
Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 I really don't follow. Sure there is misidentification within the folder but personally that is expected per what I named them. Both flags to false and only one item in 1996 and two in 1997.
firefox1970 12 Posted October 14, 2024 Author Posted October 14, 2024 Both flags ?? I only change <CollapseVideoFolders> to false
