Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 So RTM is not seeing the media but when you manually run a scan the media is shown, Correct? But the logs clearly show the libraries being monitored.

Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Not sure then as librarymonitor appear to know about the libraries as posted previously but something is not triggering the event and not caught via logging. Since you have different library path does it happen on all of them or just certain ones? Simplified paths but yes you have additional paths to set libraries. /volume1/Jarvis/Jarvis /volume1/Skynet /volume1/ZeroDawn/ZeroDawn
Carlo 4560 Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Ahh, these are on a shared folder from another machine. I don't think iNotify works on shared folders from another machine. 1
wakeboarder141 40 Posted October 12, 2024 Author Posted October 12, 2024 After testing it seems that only files added directly to Skynet where Emby Server runs will trigger an update. Adding files to any of the folders on Jarvis or ZeroDawn will not trigger an update. In this log time frame I added Cowboys and Aliens to Movies which is on Skynet and Shared Movies which is on Jarvis. I also added a TV show to Kids TV. Only the Movies library was updated. embyserver.txt
Carlo 4560 Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Yes, this corresponds to what I mentioned above that iNotify doesn't work on file shares.

Emby Server is built with the dotnet runtime, and the dotnet runtime uses INotify for file system notifications. That means the realtime monitor support for a given folder path is dependent on whether or not it's something that INotify supports.
Solution Carlo 4560 Posted October 14, 2024 Solution Posted October 14, 2024 Nope, not supported on Synology for files mounted on another device.
Luke 42077 Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 @wakeboarder141does this answer your question?
