Juanrendon 4 Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Hello, good morning, I haven't updated emby in a while, I still have Version 4.7.14.0, and I am currently experiencing slowness in playing content from the Opendrive cloud, which does not happen with PLEX, so I would like to ask you if you recommend updating the EMBY server and maybe this playback issue from opendrive Improve
Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 (edited) I am not sure if anything would really change with that updating versions beside being on the latest build as I see that version being superseded in the near future. Believe that is the old version that will still work with current apps. But you will probably have to go over a specific example with server and ffmpeg logs if present for that example. Creemos que es la versión anterior que aún funcionará con las aplicaciones actuales. Pero probablemente tendrás que repasar un ejemplo específico con los registros del servidor y de ffmpeg, si están presentes para ese ejemplo. So do you suggest installing a previous update instead of 4.8.10.0? Could you tell me which is the most stable version that has fewer errors?
Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 In the end 4.8.10.0 is the most stable as it is the maintenance release of all 4.8 release. So the farther back you go the more bugs you find. Beta are mixed in the beginning, but all releases are listed on GitHub with their fixes per version. Releases · MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases (github.com) But in the end you probably need to go over a specific example of your overall issue with logs and may need to mention your overall setup. What do you consider slowness during playback? How is the media being played? Direct Play/Transcoding But personally have no experience with using online media sources and Emby.
