ExpedientFalcon 6 Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 (edited) Previously, I was able to go to Tags, click into a Tag, and see all seasons and episodes tagged with that tag. After updating to 4.8.9.0, this no longer works--only top-level series display under the tag. I verified this is caused by 4.8.9.0 because I had a second server which was still on 4.8.8.0, tested that it still worked prior to updating, then updated and saw that this is no longer working as it previously did. This occurs in both the web interface and the Emby Theatre for Windows interface. As an example, I added the tag "Example" to the series Futurama, Season 1, and Episode 1. Previously when I would click into the "Example" tag, I would see entries for each of these three items. Now, I only see the top level series, as exhibited here. Luke 42078 Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 HI, we'll take a look at it. Thanks for reporting. 1
ExpedientFalcon 6 Posted March 23, 2025 Author Posted March 23, 2025 (edited) This is still occurring in the latest version, and I discovered it is caused by the `type=Series` query param included when clicking on one of the tags from this screen. I discovered this when I clicked on a tag from the search results page, and discovered that accessing tags from there still shows both episodes and series. Then, I verified by navigating to my library -> tags -> clicking a tag as shown above, and removing the `type=Series` param from the query string, then refreshing the page. Then I saw that both episodes and series appeared as expected and as they did in 4.8.8.0 and earlier. Edited March 23, 2025 by ExpedientFalcon
Luke 42078 Posted March 23, 2025 Posted March 23, 2025 OK the good news is that it is working just fine on the 4.9 beta channel so that means this will be resolved for you once that goes stable.
