Bucko 3 Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 I have a DS223j and I got a notice to update Emby from 8.8 to 8.10 version. I stopped the server, as requested, and downloaded emby-server-synology72_4.8.10.0_armv7.spk. As it started the upgrade I get a "this version is not compatible with your device". Which version am I supposed to download to upgrade Emby on my DS223j please?
Luke 42077 Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Hi, how did you originally install Emby Server?
Bucko 3 Posted October 5, 2024 Author Posted October 5, 2024 I installed it through the NAS packages on Synology.
Luke 42077 Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Hi is the architecture armv7? Trying to find specs on it.
Bucko 3 Posted October 6, 2024 Author Posted October 6, 2024 Well I tried using arm 7 and also arm 7 legacy. Both not work. I thought Synology was an arm 7 cpu. In fact I think maybe the new V 8.10 may be just for a different cpu and I got this upgrade notice by mistake. Makes no sense to me why this would be so complicated to do.
Bucko 3 Posted October 6, 2024 Author Posted October 6, 2024 I just looked it up. It has a Realtek RTD1619B SoC.
Luke 42077 Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 OK you may just want to wait for it to come through synology package center. We will be submitting the update to them soon. Thanks.
Bucko 3 Posted October 7, 2024 Author Posted October 7, 2024 OK, will do. Thank you for your response. 1
Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 Do you have a server log from 4.8.8 as it will tell you the version you have installed? But looks like armv8 but at the same time you need to verify your DSM version to get the correct download package.
