JohnMason1 2 Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 Hi everyone! I am already struck by Emby's beauty and functionality compared with Jellyfin, and already bought a lifetime key to support the project. Now, I will start to try and make Emby even better I have spent a couple of days scanning and sorting through my library. The following may be two separate issues or two manifestations of the same underlying issue: The first one is that I have one TV series in particular showing twice in the 'latest TV series' section on the home page. This TV series is split between two directories; one has S01, the other has S02 and S03. I have deleted the series from the library, rescanned, series gone, re-added it to the library, rescanned, and the series is again shown twice - but only in the 'latest TV series' section; it only shows once in the library page itself. The other issue is that some series that have episodes with multiple versions (4K and HD) show three options in the version drop-down box. One option is the 4K file, and the other two options are the (same) HD file twice. Choosing either of the two HD options plays the (single) HD file I have in my library correctly. I don't want to post logs publicly as they contain full directory listings but happy to PM them if someone wanted to have a look. Has anyone seen these issues before, and are they separate or do they have the same underlying cause? And more importantly, is there a possible fix? Â
JohnMason1 2 Posted October 4, 2024 Author Posted October 4, 2024 Just to expand on this, further re-scanning after deleting and re-adding these shows fixes them. However, I am now discovering there are many more shows in this state (where each episode shows as if it has two versions, however both versions are the same file), and I can't see a pattern there, they seem to be random. I thought it'd be shows where some seasons are in one folder and some in another, but nope, I just found a show that is in all one folder (just one season). I will keep looking to try and figure out what might cause some shows, seemingly randomly, to come out like that.
Luke 42077 Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Hi, that's odd. Can you please provide a specific example? Thanks !
