@newcityHi,

Taking a look at your log file I see some errors trying to access your image files.

Examples:
SKCodec had an error reading E:\Series\Black Knight\Black.Knight.S01.FRENCH.1080p.WEBRip.NF.x265.10bits.EAC3.5.1-Amen\Black Knight - S01E01 - _pisode 1 x265-Amen-thumb.jpg
followed by
"E:\Series\Black Knight\Black.Knight.S01.FRENCH.1080p.WEBRip.NF.x265.10bits.EAC3.5.1-Amen\Black Knight - S01E01 - _pisode 1 x265-Amen-thumb.jpg" is not a known file format

Those log entries seem to indicate a bad image file that needs replacing. This could be due to the wrong extension name, bad source file or even disk corruption.  In any case you should check the log file for these entries and fix/replace the problem files.

Thank you verry much for your reply. My Disk is working verry well cause I check it with hard drive sentinel. And about the bad image Can I try cleaning the entire metadata folder to let emby downloading new images ?

What I would suggest doing is having a look at the log file and picking 5 to 10 of these files and manually removing them.  Then do a library refresh to see if the image files refresh properly or if you get a new/different error. Depending on settings you may need to browse to these movies/shows in an Emby client so they fetch new images on the fly.

A small test like this allows you to see if it's something you want to do on a larger scale or not.

BTW, this may or may not help with the library stuck issue.  I just wanted to point out the errors I saw in your logs.

Hi, one thing you could also try is disabling the intro detection feature on the library and see if that helps.

Hello and sorry for the late reply. I was trying many solutions..

I wanted to inform you that I was able to resolve my library scan issue, which was crashing at X%. Here's what I did:

  • I temporarily moved the metadata folder.
  • I made a backup of the Emby folder.
  • I reinstalled Emby.
  • I re-added the library folders, and Emby successfully scanned all the files.
  • Finally, I replaced the backup folders with the new ones, and everything is now working perfectly.

However, I would like to request a feature. It would be very helpful to have a plugin or an option that allows setting a time limit for each user account, for example, an account that expires after 1 month or 3 months.

The reason is that my friends are using my media library, and we agreed to share the electricity costs since my server runs 24/7. Unfortunately, many continue to use it without contributing. This plugin would help me set an expiration time for users I add, to better manage this issue.

I am willing to pay for the development of such a plugin. Could you let me know how much it would cost to create this feature, and I will arrange the payment accordingly?

Thank you in advance for your response.

Folks, kindly refrain from referencing/posting links to said software, I understand that in this particular case it might have legit use, but it unfortunately has high potential for misuse by share sellers, directly affecting/negatively impacting Emby, both monetary and legally.

You can continue your correspondence in PM.

All relevant posts have been removed.

Thanks.

Hello everyone. For the user expiration I have found a way to set user expiration. I wrote a script that check emby for detecting a new user. if new user detected then the script creat a .bash file that is able to deactivate a user in emby server  then planifie it in windows task to execute the bash file that will procede to user desactivation in 1 mounth.

I can share the script if admin allow it.
