No EPG showing

Would anyone be able to assist me with a problem with my Synology?

I have Emby running and working perfectly on a Windows 10 machine. All live channels and EPG function as expected.

But, I'd like to run Emby on my Synology DS200+. I've installed the latest version, I can reach it and see all the programs, see live streams, etc. BUT there is no EPG data even though I'm using the same URL for EPG as I did on my Windows machine?

I've checked my router and I have the port forwarding rules set up to go to the Synology.

The Synology firewall is turned off.

Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

Did you set the channels to use the EPG info ?

I didn’t actively set anything under channels individually but I did enter the URL of the EPG source exactly the same as I did on the Windows machine. 
 

what other setting do you think I should look at to confirm?

I was thinking if you setup channel mapping.

Hi, try comparing both the tuner and the EPG setups on the Synology version to your current Windows version settings.

Hi, I would try refreshing the guide data in emby server and see if that helps. If it doesn't, then please attach the emby server log. Thanks.

unfortunately refresh didn't help. Can someone tell me which log to attach and in what format? Thanks

Not sure if this is all you need, but here's a pdf of the log.txt file. If you need others, please let me know. There are a lot on today's date. Thx.

I looked at my channels and they are already mapped to the correct EPG. But mine is not presently .gz. I can try it with compression and see if it helps.

I don't see that matters.

When you copy/pasted them.

Are there any empty spaces at the start or ending ?

Seen that happen before.

gzip didn't help. Still stuck

Seen that happen before.

They're perfect - no extra spaces, text is correct. Exactly the same as the ones that work on my windows machine. Thx.

I don't see how to download in plain text. My option is to open the .txt in a new window. Then I cut and paste into a texteditor and save. It defaults to save as an .rtf file so hopefully this'll work for you. Thanks.

Hi,

From the logs menu click on the name of the log file and you will see the download button on the next screen.

Mine doesn't have a download. Only anonymize log contents and open in a new window. No download option.

Found it. I had to go directly to a machine with access to the synology (on the same network). Please see attached.

Hmm,

Try clicking the 3 dot menu all the way to the right and see if there is a download link.

OK so I found this post:

 

 

This was the problem for me as well.  Once I selected other categories and then clicked again on the "All" category, the EPG populated again. 

I'm good now. Please mark as resolved.
