Dashboard Now playing reporting incorrectly

The Now playing section in the dashboard displays the incorrect show, it will display the correct show for 1 second, then change and display the incorrect show that was playing a few weeks back. 

this device is the same device that is playing both current and incorrect playing show. while the show is playing the dashboard does not show any time progression in the incorrectly displayed now playing though.

I had this behavior next to some other issues too. It sounds like there is an abandoned session popping up in the dashboard.  I don't know the technical details but @sa2000was able to reproduce that kind of problem.

But you have to attach the emby logs, otherwise noone can help you out.

I have not had time to really dive into checking, since this is only a minor annoyance and is not actually affecting playback or anything.
I think my issue is similar to Schleudertrauma's
