Google TV Streamer (4K) Audio Sync Issue (AV1 Direct Play)

We just received the new Google TV Streamer 4K yesterday, and at first everything seemed to work well (tried several AV1 sources and they all direct played fine), but today we were watching some AV1 content with Emby 4.8.9.0 (direct play), and after about four minutes the audio (gradually) got ahead of the video by about a second.  I switched over to Walmart's onn 4K Pro and the same content played fine with Emby 4.8.9.0 (the onn 4K Pro is still on Android 12, but has been our main streamer for the last several months and has had no AV1 direct play issues to speak of).

Since I had just upgraded Emby from 4.8.8.0 to 4.8.9.0 I temporarily switched back to 4.8.8.0 just to make sure the issue wasn't coming from 4.8.9.0, but there was no difference (the Google TV Streamer 4K still got out of sync after four minutes, and the onn 4K Pro played the same content fine without getting out of sync).

I don't think this is an Emby issue, but thought it worth mentioning.  Not sure whether I'll keep the new Google TV Streamer or not.  (Would venture the issue will get worked out sooner or later -- but with this problem it's value is currently limited.)

I have the same problem but with all types of media on the new Google TV Streamer. Audio goes out of synch when I direct play on my local lan. The same movie on FireTv4K or Chromecast With Google TV 4K works just fine.
If I transcode the synch is just fine.

Apparently it's now a known issue:  https://www.androidauthority.com/google-tv-streamer-problems-3488446/

I ended up returning the Google Streamer (and not sure I'll try it again if/when the issue is reported to be fixed).  IMHO the (Walmart) onn 4K Pro is just as good (and doesn't have the sync issue), but we actually use the Homatics Box R 4K Plus more.

Thanks for the link. I got my streamer for free so I will resurrect it every now and then to see if new fw-updates makes a difference.
I'm amazed how the hype lifted this thing as a "the" Nvidia Shield replacement even before anyone got their hands on one.
I'll stick to my proven Fire TV 4K Max for now. The Onn 4K Pro looks very interesting, but I haven't seen those in europe.
