Timelord integration

I've started using the plugins as Emby has a deficiency in this area.
The only options for date modification are, use date scanned into the library and use file creation date are more or less redundant.

I support developers being paid for their work but $6 per plugin with no customisation and last updated 5 years ago is excessive.
Emby should added these functions natively, is this on the feature map?

Hi, what are you hoping to achieve with it?

What Latest Rows already do and have the sort option per library, use Release date instead of date added value.  Sort of should be a "Date added behavior for new content" option.

Ok but we do have the latest releases section now at least for movies.

Yes but not default and not for TV shows.

Would've been nice to have this style implemented.
Currently there's the latest releases for movies and even if TV shows was added it doesn't do what this plugin facilitates.
Additionally latest releases has to be manually added by the user which means it won't happen.

Anyway back to this plugin unique use case.
You mainly want the home screen full of the latest content but you also don't want to never see newly added old content.
You could have both a latest releases and latest movies/TV but then you'll likely have to many rows to fit on your screen. This plug-in lets you have the best of both worlds.
Since it's on a schedule you can set the interval effectively allowing temp display of older content.

Old content added to server which then displays in the appropriate content row.
After lets say 24 hours the plugin runs and the time is modified ripping it out of the latest row.
In this case your showcasing the item for a temp period so it can be found without manually looking through the library.

Rather than wait for possible integration will buy the plugins.

The plugin actually changes your metadata which technically results in loss of data. I understand why some are using it, but I don't think it's the best approach.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t there plans for smart playlists? This would fix this issue

Agreed I would rather not modify the meta data. How close is smart playlists? For it to suit this purpose the server admin would need to be able to enforce said playlist across everyone's homepage.
