Buying amazon fire tv max?

Hi

I was about to buy the new google tv streamer.

Unfortunately it doesnt support hd audio passthrough.

I'm busy setting up a new home theater where i need a mediaplayer.

 

Now im not willing to buy a shield pro cause its quite old.. and its 200+ euros...

I do need HD audio passthrough for dts x , truehd.. etc etc

I also want netflix HD and disney+ etc etc

I dont have much options then...

I never owned an amazon device before , so i'm totally blind..

But does this device fits my needs? Does it work with emby and audio passthrough?

With those audio codecs you want pretty sure Shield is the only device that will. Even my Firecube Gen 3 doesn't support DTS-X but supports TrueHD.

No DTS-X listed and not DTS-HDMA, just basic profile, just like the cube.

The nokia is listed on top of it , so im eager to know how to nokia performs.

 

I do need truehd, and dts-hdma, i thought firecube and amazon fire stick 4k max did it...

The fire cube there, is listed above the shield...
