sward 28 Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 Hello - wasn't sure where to open this discussion, but basically my problem is as indicated in the title: Emby Theater hasn't been able to play any of my recordings for the last week or so. Not sure what's going on, but I attached a logfile, wherein you can see I tried to play back a recording at the following timestamp: 2024-09-25 18:34:07.359. Basically nothing happens and I eventually dump out. Please help! embyserver.txt

Luke 42077 Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 OK they seem to be playing OK in my testing. We are currently beta testing a revamped version of Emby Theater that will be available to everyone soon, so stay tuned.
sward 28 Posted September 30, 2024 Author Posted September 30, 2024 Just wanted to give you an update on this: after enabling VLC as an external player, some recordings would play with VLC, while others would play with the internal player. As an experiment I then disabled the external player, and now everything plays with the built-in player. Not sure if enabling an external player fixed everything, but it sure looks that way. 1
