Channel list keeps getting reordered.

For some channels (specifically Sunday ticket) the channel names get updated every week with the name of the game.  In the live channel seatings I have locked down the names and added channel numbers but every week not only do those get overwritten but those channels get randomly reordered within my guide.  How can I stop this?   TIA

hi, what's probably happening is that they look like different channels as far as emby server is concerned, so that could be why your lock isn't taking effect.

Can you please show a before and after snippet from your m3u? Thanks.

That is probably the case.  But why does Emby then randomly place those channels throughout  my entire channel list.

Because sorting is relative to the other entries, so you can't really answer that question without looking at all of them, or at least the surrounding ones.

Can we please look at a specific example? Thanks.

What exactly do you need?  
 

this strikes me as an issue with the Emby live software. If I take the time to manually order the channels, and only the nfl Sunday ticket channels get renamed each week to include the name of the teams and time of the game, why Emby would randomly insert those “new channels” throughout the list of CB angels that have been manually ordered seems odd.

are you using IPTV boss to create the m3u?

If you are, I would order the channels the way you want it in IPTV Boss so it shows up in the right order in Emby.   I found putting the channels that always change at the end of the channel list prevents the static channels from changing order each time.

No. No need to. The service I use allows me to select only those channels I want. But helpful.  That said I don’t see why Emby randomly locates “new” channels.

Thanks, I actually don't get anything other than an Emby rank....

I've triple checked to ensure pop up blockers are off, is there a way to DM you @LukeI'd love to get this resolved being a new Plex convert.  I'd post here but the URL contains my IPTV credentials.

 

I think this is why I don't see the popup...while I can type @Lukewhen i click on that i get the following error.

Do you have pop-ups disabled?

You can also click on the avatar and get up the user's profile page, and the Message button is near the top.

Yes, per above I did ensure popups are enabled, I even specifically whitelabeled emby.media as an allowed domain for pop-ups....i cannot click the user's avatar, it isn't an active link.  I think the problem is reflected in that I can add, for example you @pwhodges to this note, but when i click on the link i get the screenshot above.
