Question on some plugins

Hi,

I am looking into some plugins, and before I mess something up and install something I don't want, had some precursory questions I was hoping someone more experienced would be able to answer...

1) Auto Box Sets

Unsure how this works --sounds like this automatically creates different kinds of collections. But is it more than the ones that are automatically created when you have two or more movies of the same series? For example Mission Impossible Collection. Would Auto Box Sets make a bunch of different ones, like Tom Cruise Collection or something?

2) Cover Art

Similar to above, the normal metadata providers pull in all the images. What would Cover Art enhance? I read some threads and it sounds like it 'enhances' the images?

3) Iconic Image Enhancer

Same questions as #2

Thanks!

That plugin has been deprecated/made a part of Emby core. It automatically creates collections based on TMDB data.

Correct. It'd enhance images: posters and thumbs.

Similar to above, it overlays "badges" on top of existing artwork (posters, thumbs).

Thanks for the quick reply!

I'm guessing #1 is the thing that handles the 'Mission Impossible Collection' example I mentioned then? I've seen people have things like 'Christmas movies' and what not, but I think those are all manual? Or does this support fan made collections somehow?

For #2 and #3, are these overlapping each other, or could I use both? By 'enhance', is this like an AI upscale or something? They're just thumbnails in most cases so I was confused by that.

Badges sound good, I'm guessing you could do something like stamp a '4k' icon on titles that qualify or something?

Only movie sets available on TMDB.

They will happily co-exist; I would assume a number of users (myself included) are using them in that exact setup.

No, it just adds different treatments/overlays to existing posters.

You could, there's number of rules you can configure.
