podonnell 47 Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 I have been looking into external tools that do this, but I'm worried if I run a command using ffmpeg or an mkvtoolnix tool, it may have issues if the title is in use when it goes to save it. Wondering if there are any better ways to do something like this. I know there is a 'conversions' in Emby but I'm guessing that might be more like remuxing containers? If anyone is familiar with some good way to do this, it's much appreciated!
Luke 42077 Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 I think any tool will have issues if the file is in use. I’ve always liked mivtoolnix
Neminem 1518 Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 Have look into Tdarr There are some plugins that can be used. I use these plugins in tdarr to strip out subtitles that I don't want. Tdarr_Plugin_MP01_MichPasCleanSubsAndAudioCodecs Migz Clean Subtitle Streams Tdarr has the abillity to place the transcoded / remuxed file in a Stagin Section. And will not overwrite the file in use, but wait for the file to become available. They do there support via Discord. If you deside to use Tdarr, make a test library and test on that. Before letting it loose on your normal library's 1
Dickydodah! 154 Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 (edited) There is an Emby plugin that should acieve what you want, its called Sub-Killer. it was written mostly for Samsung TV users as they don't play nice with too many subtitles. Edited November 8, 2024 by Dickydodah!
