Naming an episode split into two files

Hey there,

This thread discussed how to name a tv show that thetvdb presents as one episode, but is stored in two different files on the server. The thread is a few years old, and I have the same problem. So, I was wondering if there is a solution to the problem that I haven't found.

The problem:

I have

• myShow (2019) S01E01 part 1.m4v
• myShow (2019) S01E01 part 2.m4v

In thetvdb, the episode is presented as one episode.

 

is there a way of naming so the emby understands the situation?

Multi-part episodes are currently not supported.

Your best bet would be to merge them into single file. 

Alternatively, you can make use of Multi-versioning as sort of a workaround.
