HukeLerman 1 Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Brand new here, so forgive me if I'm in the incorrect place. I've searched and haven't seen anything pop up since Feb on this type of issue. My OTA Recordings randomly fail. I tried recording three football games today and when I got home from all the kid sports today, I find I have 2 7 min recordings from the early games and a 33 min recording from the afternoon game. Very similar results last week as well. I've looked extensively on if Internet dropping would cause issues (we have trash Internet and am awaiting the fiber install), but everything I've read says it doesn't check constantly, though it seems like most people are concerned with serving the media. Curious if there is a quick and dirty answer to this issue. Thanks in advance.
Luke 42077 Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 Hi there, please attach the emby server log from when the recording occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks.
HukeLerman 1 Posted September 25, 2024 Author Posted September 25, 2024 I'm sorry, but I don't see any logs of the specified window. I see plenty of logs, just none when the recordings were supposed to happen. Do I need to turn a setting on?
Luke 42077 Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 Hi, it Will be part of the normal Emby server log. You don’t need to extract anything from it. Please just attach the complete log file from the time of the recording. Thanks.
HukeLerman 1 Posted September 26, 2024 Author Posted September 26, 2024 Again, I didn't see any logs from the time window I had specified, but here is the largest log from that day. embyserver-63862646424.txt
HukeLerman 1 Posted September 27, 2024 Author Posted September 27, 2024 There were two that were that started at noon and stopped after about 7 minutes and one at 3 or 3:30 that stopped after like half an hour or so. All three of them were supposed to be football games that lasted 3 and a half hours.
HukeLerman 1 Posted October 3, 2024 Author Posted October 3, 2024 Any update? Another weekend of failed sports recordings this weekend. Again, can it be as simple as awful Internet service causing issues?
HukeLerman 1 Posted October 9, 2024 Author Posted October 9, 2024 Yet another example attached. embyserver-63863828072.txt
HukeLerman 1 Posted October 11, 2024 Author Posted October 11, 2024 HD Home run with 4 Tuners. Not exactly sure the model.
Carlo 4560 Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 Hi, The ShieldTV is losing connection to the tuner and can't re-open the port. How is the ShieldTV connected to the network? What type of storage device is attached to the ShieldTV for recording storage? How is this device connected to the ShieldTV?
HukeLerman 1 Posted October 12, 2024 Author Posted October 12, 2024 Shield TV connected to router via WiFi. EHDD attached to Shield via USB. HDHR Tuner attached directly to Router. FWIW, NextPVR (running on a laptop connected via same WiFi) recorded fine last weekend. There were a few hiccups in the recording that I attributed to antenna signal. Thanks for the renewed interest in this 1
Luke 42077 Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 @HukeLermanare you still having an issue with this?
