leetxjd 5 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Is anyone else having issues with the LiveTV Source? I had been using Emby with the Mediaportal source with the 0.6.0.4 Emby version of MPExtended and WebMediaPortal. Now - All of a sudden, it doesn't work. The MPExtended Troubleshooting links/tab provide the following information Streaming Service {"ApiVersion":6,"ServiceVersion":"0.6.0.4-Emby","SupportsMedia":true,"SupportsRecordings":false,"SupportsTV":false} TVService {"ApiVersion":6,"HasConnectionToTVServer":false,"ServiceVersion":"0.6.0.4-Emby"} The LiveTV Source App also has no selection for Transcoding Profile or Channel Group. I am worried I may need to restore from a backup. But before I do that, I wanted to see if anyone else had those problems. -LeeTXJD
Luke 42077 Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
leetxjd 5 Posted September 29, 2024 Author Posted September 29, 2024 It really isn't a "playback" issue per se. It is a MediaPortal plugin issue. I have been able to resolve the MPExtended problem - they now report "true". However, the plugin can't seem to access the program guide nor do the Transcoding Profile or Channel Group drop downs have anything available in them in the LIVETV Source "app". The relevant portion of the embyserver log is attached. Note: I removed the internal IPs with [IP of PC Accessing EMBY Through Browser] or [IP of Localhost] embyserver.txt
leetxjd 5 Posted September 29, 2024 Author Posted September 29, 2024 I think there is something wrong with plugin 1.9.9.0 The plug in keeps looking to port 8096 (the default port for Emby), where previous versions of the plug in looked to port 4322 (which is for streaming). To test this, I installed 1.9.7.0 - but turned off internet access. I then put in the localport address with port 4322. The all channels guide pulled up (I couldn't choose a different lineup). I then turned on internet access and installed 1.9.9.0 and restarted Emby. Sure enough, the guide is now blank AND it seeks information from port 8096. I also suspect it is looking to incorrect directories/port for transcoding and channel group settings. -LeeTXJD
Solution pünktchen 1409 Posted September 29, 2024 Solution Posted September 29, 2024 The attached version 2.0.0 should fix your issues: MediaPortal.2.0.0.0.zip @LukePlease update the plugin catalog with the above version. The changes are in my repo: https://github.com/puenktchen/MediaPortalTVPlugin/commit/e51dcbe81cbb5b31ca5186978af96ce559bc4107 2
leetxjd 5 Posted October 5, 2024 Author Posted October 5, 2024 Flat out AWESOME! It works and fixed the problems. I REALLY thank you for doing this. I and my family use my Mediaportal/Emby set up everyday. Being without LiveTV was frustrating. -LeeTXJD 1
