Hi am on latest beta 4.9.2.6 and this built in feature not working with all movies so i have some with merged versions and others aren’t in the same library 

any workaround would be appreciated

Did you use the Plugin first then this feature?

The Emby devs built this feature without giving a second thought to those who used the Plugin initially to get this feature. My advice is to ditch the built in setting if you have already been using the Plugin and continue to use the Plugin, or spend time deleting your library and scanning it in with JUST the built in feature.

The third option would be - depending on the number of unmerged items - to merge those manually, if feasible, and continue using built-in feature as community plugin support can be dropped any time (as the original plugin's was until someone picked it up - which is by no means guatantee that it'll happen again, in particular since multi-versioning is a part of Emby core now, interest will inevitably diminish) or plugin cease to function with any version bump;

If you intend to keep using the plugin then I would disable the auto merging options.

If you intend to switch to the core feature, then I would remove the plugin. Just keep in mind that any content that you merge or split manually will have to be handled manually forever. this includes items that have been merged or split by the plugin. It did it in a way that is equivalent to manually merging and splitting.

Features of the plugin:

• runs automatically on movie add (configuration "Run Automatically").
• merge movies in separate libraries or between all libraries ("Merge Across Libraries").
• ignore locked movies ("Do Not Change Locked Items").
• merge can be invoked manually in Scheduled tasks - "Merge Movies" in the "Movie Auto Merge" section.
• global (all movies in all libraries) split can be invoked manually in Scheduled tasks - "Split Movies" in the  "Movie Auto Merge" section.
• split of a particular movie in the plugin configuration by providerID (search in all libraries).
• merge by all available Emby metadata providers - IMDB, TMDB, Kinopoisk, etc.
• complementary merge, e.g. if the first movie has TMDB, the second - has IMDB, TMDB, and the third - has only IMDB, and all those movies are the same, they all will be merged into one movie.

Can someone please add this Movie auto Merge plugin into the catalog? Im on Android and am limited to whats only available in the Emby app catalog.

You just drop the .dll file into your plugin folder in the emby directory on your server no need for the catalog if you need it quickly
