RyanFisher 0 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 embyserver-63862560000.txt when they try and watch longlegs it wants to trigger a transcode, i tried disabling transcoding to troubleshoot because theres no reason he should need to transcode considering he has the same setup i do at home and i don't need to. logs are enclosed and the attempt was at 22:49

But never mind that, those sessions are attempting to transcode due to that user having bandwidth limit, either client- or server-side imposed. Happy2Play 9780 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Must be an insane bitrate to try and direct play remotely as the client looks to be set at 80Mbps. Info App: Bitrate exceeds DirectPlay limit: media bitrate: 93353055, max bitrate: 79664570 TranscodeReasons=DirectPlayError,ContainerBitrateExceedsLimit,DirectPlayError But directplayerrors are almost impossible to figure out as the player just doesn't link something with the file. Not positive if disabling transcoding contributes to the error or not. Info App: User policy for {USER}. RyanFisher 0 Posted September 22, 2024 Author Posted September 22, 2024 bitrate of the file is 93 mbps, but that seems like a strange bitrate limit because he wont have set it himself and my serverside one is 110mbps

But honestly think that high of bitrates across the internet will be hit and miss for most home connections. 1
