kevinmiller1275 0 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 I’m running Emby on a synology nas. I’m using channels dvr as a back end feeding an m3u file to Emby. The channels dvr server on the nas as the Emby server. This worked find for a couple of weeks then Emby seemed to lose connection to channels dvr. Channels dvr was operating fine but Emby would not load any channels or record anything. I keep getting an error. When I look up the error message on line, I see that essentially Emby can’t connect to the m3u file from channels. This is the third time this has happened in the past month. When I look up the m3u and the xlm files feeding guide data they work fine. If I delete the m3u from Emby and put it back in using the same information I used before it works fine. The problem is then I have to redo all the favorites and guide collections when I do this. I don’t think this should happen at all considering both servers are on the same machine and nothing changes. Any ideas on how to fix this? There is no point paying for Emby premiere is I have to spend a couple of hours reprogramming live tv every week or two when channels dvr works fine.
Luke 42077 Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Hi there, please attach the emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks !
Carlo 4560 Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Hi @kevinmiller1275 At your earliest convenience, please supply the information requested by Luke above. This setup does work as I've used it for a long time and helped many people set this up. Personally, however I don't use the CDVR XML link but instead set this up in Emby which is slightly more work but has better graphics and information that are scaled to look much better in Emby clients. Once we have the log file requested in the link Luke posted we can see what type of error your system is getting. Thanks, Carlo
