pepelopez 0 Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Hi, I'im testing this plugin but struggling to obtain the expected results. I'm using version 1.0.9 and Emby it's on 4.8.8 (windows) and It's a clean installation with no other plugins. I've nothing more than 2 videos in the testing library. this is the structure: movies\4k\El caballero oscuro (2008) - [UHDRemux 2160p DV HDR ES EN DTS HD MA 5.1 AE]\El caballero oscuro (2008) - [UHDRemux 2160p DV HDR ES EN DTS HD MA 5.1 AE].mkv movies\4k\El caballero oscuro (2008) - [UHDRip 2160p HDR10 HEVC ES DTS-MA EN DD+5.1]\El caballero oscuro (2008) - [UHDRip 2160p HDR10 HEVC ES DTS-MA EN DD+5.1].mkv and this is the result: But If I remove the "AE" string from the failing file it's detected properly: also, some times the trick it's to remove some other character or add some string to the movie name. As an example, removing the dot un "5.1" does the trick any idea?
GrimReaper 4740 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 (edited) Split this into it's own topic as it shouldn't have anything to do with Auto-grouping plugin - plugin simply compares/matches/groups items with same providerId(s) (and it obviously does that), file naming is irrelevant for it functioning, the rest is down to Emby core and filename parsing/subsequent display in the UI. Is there any particular reason you're using two folders for the same movie within the same parent folder? i.e. If you structure it like: \movies\4k\El caballero oscuro (2008) \El caballero oscuro (2008) - [UHDRemux 2160p DV HDR ES EN DTS HD MA 5.1 AE].mkv \El caballero oscuro (2008) - [UHDRip 2160p HDR10 HEVC ES DTS-MA EN DD+5.1].mkv How does it compare? Does same occur? Edited September 22, 2024 by GrimReaper
Luke 42078 Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 @pepelopez what plug-in are you referring to?

Luke 42078 Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 OK @pepelopezI would suggest posting in the topic for the plugin to help ensure that the plugin developer will see it. Thanks !
GrimReaper 4740 Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 (edited) OP posted in plugin topic and I've split it to this separate topic as I don't see what does plugin have to do with Emby's display in the UI, since it's obviously doing what it's supposed to do: merge items with same providerID. Split (and reason for it) are mentioned few posts above, in the very first reply. Edited October 7, 2024 by GrimReaper
