Subtitles auto-resize problem

I am running android app on Nvidia shield Pro. I've noticed that app automaticaly resize subtitles acording to aspect ratio. For example subtitles in 16:9 video are smaller and in 2.35:1 subtitles are bigger.

It's pretty annoying. Can you fix this, please?

Hi Luke! Thanks for answering.

First I need to specify that problem is present in Android app (not in Android TV app).

Two examples:

1. This is 16:9 aspect ratio and subtitle is larger (this size is what I want)

2. And this is 2.35:1 aspect ratio and subtitle is smaller (too small for my taste)

 

Automatic subtitle resize is not caused because of resolution. It is caused because of aspect ratio.
