Best Way to Save Subtitles, Artwork, Metadata for Backup Prep

New to this,

 Just installed Emby on Mac and I want to know if I have to download all subtitles, artwork and .nfo files to my media library to properly backup for future restore. Don't like cluttering up my media folders and I noticed that if I don't download some information that they are put in my server folders. Just trying to save everything safely for future needs. Spent hours reading forum and backup procedure but cannot figure out.

Hi @gsimonds62it's not totally required because our backup and restore feature can bring the entire server data folder to a new installation.

Having said that, even if not required, I would still recommend it that way you have them in place in the event you ever want to start fresh.
