Some laggy behavior as of TVOS 18

Sorry if I don't have a great way to describe this, but I've noticed since updating to TVOS 18.0 some things lag, the 2 biggest being:

-After we finish an episode, it takes a long time to fall off the Up Next list. Force closing and relaunching the app will make this happen, and sometimes going to the Favorites menu and back will trigger a refresh and it will update.
-If I hit the Back button during an episode it will go back to the menu, but the audio will continue until I do the same things above will make it "realize" that something changed and it'll stop. I think the resume from time will be accurate to when I backed out at that point.

Happy to help pull logs if needed, and this doesn't seem to happen on my phone or browser, although those might behave a little differently than the Apple TV w/remote already.

(Also are there any plans to introduce the speedometer looking icon to control playback speed along with the Audio/CC options during playback vs in the Settings Gear? Love that on my phone)

Have you tried restarting the ATV?  My laggy behaviour went away after that

I can confirm the same behavior and it's driving me nuts having to force quit Emby when exiting playback. Restarting Apple TV does not fix the issue. Running version 1.8.9.

I swear I did it before reinstalling the app, but tried again. Noticed some of my other devices needed a second reboot if anything was acting up a bit after the OS18 update.

A quick 30 second test and the sound didn't continue after backing out, but will know more later tonight. Fingers crossed!

tvOS 18 and Emby app 1.9.0 (4) (via TestFlight) randomly freezes Emby when using the "back" button to exit playback, requiring a restart of the Emby app after the crash/hang.

I noticed that as well yesterday on 1.9.0, not on TestFlight though.

Hi, have you updated to the latest version of Emby for Apple TV? Has that helped?

Hi @Luke, just tested and while it didn't freeze up after an episode wrapped, it didn't update the home screen showing the next episode either until I force quit and relaunched.

Still on 1.9.0 as well, no change as well and I'm not on Test Flight.

similar issues with App freezing here.  I also have the issue that the Apple TV App does not update the play status as "played". iOS / iPadOS do this as far as i can tell.

Hi

I am having the same problem often when i press pause and then play again it starts for a few sec then freezes and when i try to back out it freezes emby app same thing if i back out of playing a show it freezes the app 

And i have updated and after update still the same problem

This is still happening for me. Pause/Play has some delays all of a sudden - is this still a known issue @Luke?
