Can not resume play or click progress bar on PC

This is a strange one & I have not ruled out hardware...  Everything else works fine (android TV, iPhone, iPad, all fine), but I have 3 PC's that all of a sudden wont "resume" play.  You can click "play" from beginning and it works fine every time, but after that, if you click anywhere on the progress bar to a specific time, is freeze up.  Screen goes black w no movie.  controls are still visible but no signal.  Also, the data sent rate from the server goes to full peg 1G & stays there until I turn the show off on the client PC.  After that, If you try to resume play - the brouser shows the background movie art & the spinning blue loading circle, but that's it.  If/when you cancel, the "resume" button disappears and is now only "play", which works fine.  For some reason it just wont skip around within the show, or start from a specific timestamp.  The scan Forward & Back buttons work fine.  You just cant "resume play" or click on the progress bar.  Here's even better... Sometimes it works fine.  about every 1 out of 4 times, it's totally fine.  It's only on PC, but I have tried multiple machines & is same on all.  I have tried Chrome & Brave.  Everything was fine until today.  I'm still working on it, but this is the best I can tell rn.  Thanks for any help.

Just to offer some support: I can attest I have seen that behavior on occasions I have seen that happen. it does not happen every time I try to play something but it does happen often enough for me to not really think it is inside Emby but I do believe it is related to the hardware getting overloaded.

I browse my server from a different computer, I have not really tried browsing from the computer Emby actually runs on. Also it happens on both my beta server and my release server equally sporadically.

The "overload" does not seem to be on either computer but rather it seems to be in my network or in my router. Every time I have seen the problem has been during a period of heavy network traffic like transferring several large files from one computer to another but I cannot make it happen with any reliability.

I think Emby needs to, somehow, provide a more reliable way to recover from network glitches. Usually what I have noticed is brief pauses but a hard pause happens from time to time and that is where the problem lies. 

I do not know what the fix will be and I do not even know exactly what the difference is during times of heavy load.

BTW: I have never seen that kind of pause problem on any of the clients i use: Roku Ultra (X2), Fire 4K stick (X2) and Shield TV.
